MODERN ETHOS & WHOLESALEOPS

Privacy policy

How we use information to support our business, and how to contact us about it.

Who we are

Modern Ethos operates this website and WholesaleOps, its private business assistant. Contact Modern Ethos about privacy requests at modernethosnc@gmail.com.

This policy describes information used by the website, the assistant and the resulting business records.

This website

The site provides company and app information. It has no user accounts, contact forms, advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Visiting a hosted site involves connection information, such as an IP address and browser details, being processed by its hosting provider to serve and protect the site. The hosting provider is Cloudflare.

Our Amazon store link takes you to Amazon, where Amazon’s own privacy practices apply. Emailing us shares your address and message with Modern Ethos and our email provider.

Google information we use

With authorization from the connected Google account, WholesaleOps accesses information needed for authorized business tasks:

  • Gmail: messages, sender and recipient details, subjects and drafts, to review correspondence and prepare or send specifically approved replies.
  • Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides: selected files, metadata and content, to analyze supplier catalogs and organize, create or edit business documents and reports.
  • Calendar: calendar lists, event details and availability, to support scheduling and event management.
  • Contacts: names, email addresses and other selected contact fields, to maintain business contacts.

Granted Google permissions may be broader than one task or folder. The assistant is instructed to use relevant business information within the authorized scope. Catalog analysis uses files shared with WholesaleOps.

Processing & sharing

WholesaleOps uses Google services for the tasks described here. Relevant content, instructions and results may be sent to OpenAI to understand requests, summarize information and prepare business outputs. Authorized team members may receive selected content and reports through Telegram.

Approved emails or calendar invitations share their content with the approved recipients. Google stores files, drafts and events created or edited in the connected account.

Access is intended for authorized team members and the services performing the functions described here.

Limited Use

WholesaleOps follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, in its handling of Google information. We use this information for the business functions described in this policy. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Relevant information may be processed by OpenAI and delivered through Telegram as described above.

Storage, protection & retention

Working records, reports, conversation history and action receipts may remain in systems managed by Modern Ethos and in backups. Copies may also remain in Google, Telegram and OpenAI services according to the applicable account controls and provider policies.

We restrict access to account credentials and encrypt stored Google authorization credentials. Information held by other services is subject to their own protections and the applicable account settings.

Retention is managed manually. We do not promise a fixed automatic deletion period. Modern Ethos reviews deletion requests, removes unnecessary copies it controls, and explains records retained for business, legal or recovery needs. Backup copies and provider-held records require separate consideration.

Access removal & questions

The Google account owner can revoke WholesaleOps access through Google Account connections. This prevents future authorized Google access; it does not erase previously stored records.

To request a copy of your information or request access removal or deletion, contact modernethosnc@gmail.com. We will identify the records involved, remove unnecessary copies we control, and explain any retention or provider limitations.

We will update this policy when data handling changes and request further consent before using Google information for a newly disclosed purpose.
